According to Xinhua News Agency’s information from the 2020 International Education Service Trade Forum, in recent years, my country has been committed to promoting the formation of a comprehensive, multi-level and wide-ranging pattern of education opening up, and deepening educational cooperation and exchanges with countries around the world.
At present, China has established educational cooperation and exchange relations with 188 countries and regions and 46 important international organizations and signed agreements on mutual recognition of higher education degrees and degrees with 54 countries.
Liu Jin, Director of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange of the Ministry of Education, introduced at the forum that China is the world’s largest source of international students, with about 1.6 million students studying abroad, and currently about 1.4 million overseas. In terms of studying in China, the Chinese government has set up the “Silk Road” scholarship program to help train talents for the “Belt and Road” initiative, and at the same time build the “Study in China” brand; the proportion of students studying in China has increased year by year, reaching 54.6% in 2019. In addition, China has continued to strengthen Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools. There are currently 2282 Sino-foreign cooperative education institutions and projects at various levels and types.
For those campuses, higher education programs, eMBA training institutes out of China that have plans to explore Chinese students, it is a good sign and beginning. Come to consult Tim about how to open the gate. I have experience of working with education programs from U.S., U.K., and Australia.
